Four press brakes and a TruLaser 3030 are already on hand at the Laser- und Biegezentrum Kornwestheim. A TruLaser 5030 is soon to join them.
Becoming their own bosses was a dream come true for Marcus Affenzeller and Wolfgang Glauning at the Laser- und Biegezentrum (laser and bending center) Kornwestheim. At the close of 2002 they took the plunge into self-employment — with 450 square meters of floor space, a TrumaBend V85, and a TRUMATIC L 2530. Work was grueling at the start, but the two kept their noses to the grindstone, driven by optimism and diligence. “When you make that momentous step, you have to be quite aware that Saturday is sometimes a part of the work week,” Wolfgang Glauning recalls.
But it’s been worthwhile. Today the firm employs a staff of 15 and the equipment includes four press brakes and a TruLaser 3030. The two owners especially appreciate the quality and reliability of their TRUMPF machines: “You switch them on and they run and run and run.” The company supplies parts to the motorsports circuit and for medical technology. It expanded its production area shortly before the tenth anniversary, to a total of 1,300 square meters of floor space. The next major investment is being planned to coincide with the jubilee. “We have already ordered a new TruLaser 5030 for delivery at the close of the year,” Glauning reports.
