Milestone machine: The thousandth TruLaser 3030 at the TRUMPF Maschinen Grüsch AG plant in Switzerland, prior to dispatch to Aesculap.
Thomas Philipp got himself a record holder. He is plant manager at Aesculap, a medical technology company in Tuttlingen, Germany, and decided to purchase a TruLaser 3030. Of TRUMPF’s machines, this is the one most often sold around the world. A benchmark edition landed on Philipp’s doorstep: the thousandth flat-bed machine in this series. That was also gratifying for Arnim Brüchle, general manager at TRUMPF Maschinen Grüsch AG. “One thousand TruLaser 3030 units sold tell our customers this is a reliable machine — one that stands for innovative technologies and high laser output.”
The TruLaser 3030 used at Aesculap is fitted with a TruFlow 5000 laser generating five kilowatts of power, and with a LoadMaster for automatic materials loading. Aesculap, a division of B. Braun Melsungen AG, develops and manufactures surgical products. The company will be using the new laser cutting center to produce sieve panels for baskets where sterile surgical instruments will later be stored. Hence, the hygiene requirements are high. This TruLaser 3030 will ensure perfect component quality in the future.
